Scott Silk is president and CEO of Action Engine Corporation, The On-Device Portal Company™. Scott brings with him more than two decades of successful high technology management experience focused on establishing and building high growth, customer-centric businesses.

Prior to joining Action Engine, Scott served as senior vice president and general manager of ePresence (Nasdaq: EPRE) a leading provider of security and identity management (SIM) solutions. In this role, Scott established ePresence as a leader in the Identity Management segment and increased shareholder valuation by more than 100%. Additionally, Scott was instrumental in driving the company's merger & acquisition strategy that led to the sale of the company's SIM solutions business to Unisys Corporation.

Prior to joining ePresence, Scott had a distinguished career with Gentia Software Inc. where he served as president of North American Operations and vice president of worldwide marketing. In this role, Scott identified new product and market opportunities, restructured the organization and established new business relationships that resulted in the company's return to profitability in North America. In total, he grew the company's North American software revenues to $20 million and established the organization as an acknowledged leader in the Balanced Scorecard software space. He also led re-positioning efforts that were core to Gentia's merger & acquisition goals.

Earlier, Scott held the post of assistant to the Chairman and CEO of Unisys Corporation. His career-to-date highlights include extensive experience in senior general management, sales and marketing roles with companies such as Unisys, Ally Software and Actium Corporation.

Scott completed his undergraduate studies at Ohio State University and holds a master's degree in business administration from Baldwin-Wallace College in Berea, Ohio.

In 2006, Scott was recognized by mobile news service, MobileVillage, with the Wireless Services Visionary Award for his leadership in setting Action Engine's strategy for growth. He has served as a subject matter expert on numerous panels and conducted presentations on topics such as on-device portals, mobile advertising, mobile entertainment, mobile search, location-based services, and social networking. As a direct result of Scott's leadership, Action Engine was recognized as one of the top 15 emerging wireless companies by Fierce Wireless and one of the top 10 mobile entertainment companies by IDC.
